Know Your Pulse - Corby launch

 

AFA’s national awareness campaign ‘Know Your Pulse’ was rolled-out across Corby in a week of action, from the 2nd to 6th of July 2012.

The events were part of a pilot scheme working in partnership with NHS Corby Clinical Commissioning Group and NHS East Midlands Cardiovascular Network to improve diagnosis of AF and other heart rhythm disorders.

AFA and our partners in the NHS organised a series of events which took place in Corby during the week:

Trudie Lobban MBE and local GP Kevin Williams discussed the importance of knowing your pulse.

BBC Radio Northampton Interview 29th June

Trudie was on air again discussing the Know Your Pulse Campaign.

Know Your Pulse at the Corby East Midlands Pool

2nd July

Working with NHS Corby and East Midlands CV Network, AFA had a stand at the torch relay.

Know Your Pulse at RS Components 3rd July Our team and medical professionals visited workplaces to raise awareness about why you should know your pulse.
Older People's Forum on AF 4th July

The AFA distributed leaflets and patient information.

Know Your Pulse in Corby Asda 5th July

The AFA had an information stand with medical professionals on hand to encourage shoppers to check their pulse.
